We are currently living in Knoxville Tennessee. I am a stay at home mom and absolutley love hanging out with Makai (age 5) and Beck (age 3). Ike is in his 2nd year of Oral Surgery Residency at the Univerity of Tennessee Hospital. We miss all of our friends and family, but enjoy the opportunity to meet new friends and see new places. This blog is just a little piece of our every day life here in Knoxville.

Beck and Ellie are so cute together!
What a cute family!

Makai was in heaven having her favorite dressup/Barbie friend Miss Kelsey Blood here. It was so fun to have Jaimee and her cute kids come visit us for the day. Beck still has a thing for the cutest girl ever little miss Ellie. Jaimee and I had fun talking while the kids played outside and then we went to a sprinkler park. We miss the Bloods. They were our home away from home the last four years in Kentucky. I can't wait to visit them in D.C. very soon.

Two exciting tidbits: Ike and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on Thursday!!! Sure do love ya Pet! He was actually on call Friday and Sunday and Saturday I was gone all day doing an aerobics certification so we'll have to celebrate this week. I can't believe it's been seven years. We've had two beautiful children, moved three times, graduated from college, dental school and now we're bucking up for residency. What a great time we've had! Ike always buys the best presents and this year he got me an awesome camera!! It's sleek and cute and takes really great pictures.

Next exciting tidbit: Beck is POTTY TRAINED!!! What a smart little boy we have! Starting this Friday he's had two accidents and that's it. We do make frequent trips to the potty, but he's doing so good. We've been to Walmart and church with underwear and no accidents. He just gets it and that is so fine with me. He's are little genius!!! (I'm just a little excited he did it so quickly I hate potty training and being a slave to your house. We love to be out and about)!
Here are a few new pictures to catch you up on what we've been doing.... dress ups, swimming and more swimming, the zoo (at least once a week), our good friends the Tippets from Lexington were driving through on their way home vacation so we got to have dinner with them. It was great to see them! We've also done sprinklers, finger painting, the duck pond and lots of other fun things to keep our summer fun. A lot of the kids we hang out with are boys. Makai doesn't mind being the only princess! We are definitely having a good time here. We miss Ike, but we have to go on without him. When he's home we do fun stuff and enjoy having him around.

Fourth of July Fun!

We had a really fun 4th this year. Thursday night we went with the Allred's (minus Ike, he was on call at the hospital all night) to see some fireworks at a Baptist Church. The kids had a great time with all the inflatable toys. Makai loved the sparkly gold fireworks and Beck said they scared him and hurt his ears. The highlight of the night was that they got to be shuttled to the church in a school bus! The next morning our subdivision had a parade following a fire truck. Makai and Beck rode their bikes streamers and all. After the parade we played at home while Daddy slept (he was up all night stitching up people). Then we all went to a sprinkler park and the kids had tons of fun. After that we had some grocery shopping to do then we finished off the night with a trip to Taco Bell what's more American than that!

A Super Daddy Stacker!

Here's a funny picture of nerdy Ike trying to study with the kids around. They don't let him get much done, they just like to play with Daddy. Ike's pretty fun I can hardly blame them!

No More Sucking The Sumbs!!!

Daddy painted Beck's thumbs with the yucking tasting stuff called STOP. The first two times he threw up and he said there were yuckies and owies in his mouth, but eventually he for the most part has stopped. Every now and again we will see him and he will walk up to Ike and say, "Daddy painting the sumbs?" And you know that Ike certainly will. Thumb sucking down, potty training to go.....
These are just some cute pictures of the kids. The one's in the middle are of Beck being a naughty pot! He spilled an entire box of Cheerio's and then threw them at me because he was mad! (This happened while I was trying to take a shower) He was too cute so I just took a picture and swept up the mess.
