Happy 4th of July!

We had a very fun and packed weekend. It was great to have Ike around for all the festivities. Now that he's on his Anesthesia rotatation he has weekends off for 5 months!!! Friday I taught a class and Ike worked out (Makai thought Daddy was in the group X room doing Yoga. That would have been a sight)! Then we stayed and went swimming. Makai was in diving board Heaven since Daddy was there to help. After that we went to the Smokies baseball game and watched fireworks from the car on the way home to beat the crowds! Saturday we had a fun bike parade and breakfast with a bunch of friends and fininshed off the night with a delicious BBQ with more friends and fireworks out our bedroom windows! We also let the kids do some sparklers. What a fun weekend!

Secret City Festival

What better way to spend a 100 degree day more humid than you can imagine than outside with animals, big bouncy slides, crafts and inflatable obstacle courses? The kids and I went with Jamie and Livy and even though it was hotter than Hades we had a great time!

Knoxville Fun!

We've been having a really fun summer. Here's a few pictures of what we've been up to: the zoo, Library time (fire truck), hanging out in the backyard using water trying to stay cool, selling our car and getting a new van! We are getting ready for the baby and needed a bigger car so we were lucky enough to get Pop Pop's van.

Saying Goodbye

We had a super fun trip up to Lexington to say goodbye to the Price's. Some of our best friends we spent four years with in Kentucky. They are headed off to Arizona to begin life after school. We will miss you guys and wish you all the luck in the world!

Ike Post call....

The poor guy has to sleep sometime! He's entering trauma season so he never sleeps at the hospital. We all like to take rests with Ike. Even though it looks like he has me in a headlock, we fell asleep on the couch together and Makai got into the camera. I'm pregnant and tired and Ike is overworked and tired. Bad combo!

Knoxville Zoo

I just love the warmer weather and being outside. Good thing the kids love it too. We headed out to the Zoo for a great day. We played in the kids museum, had a picnic and checked out the animals too. We had a pretty yummy watermelon slushy that we all loved. A zoo that's 15 minutes away is with a zoo pass is heaven!

Summer has Officially Started!

Pool time in Tennessee! All summer long all we do is swim (even if I'm 8 months pregnant). We swim at the Beach which is the gym that I work at. We love it because it's huge, fun and best of all it's free! We also love the swimming at the Allred's pool. The kid's just can't get enough!

Ballet Recital

The moment Makai waits for the whole year. Time to perform, makeup, flowers, ice cream and an audience. She did a great job and looked so cute. She loves ballet and tap. This is her third year in ballet and tap and she just can't get enough. She's getting pretty good and it's so much fun to watch.

Soccer Season's Over!

Makai had her soccer party and last game. She was way excited about her trophy. She didn't like soccer at first, but she really liked it at the end. She's a speed demon and loves to run. She did a great job. We'll be seeing her playing soccer in the fall again!

Preschool Graduation

It's official Makai graduated from preschool. She had a great year with Miss Vicki and made tons of friends at Beaver Ridge. They had a fun carnival for the kids and a graduation ceremony too. Makai is way excited for Kindergarten, but keeps saying how much she will miss Preschool.

Mother's Day and Ike's 29th Birthday!

A little late, but Happy Mother's Day to my sweet Mama! I am so grateful for such a wonderful mother and friend. This picture was taken when my parents came to Tennessee this fall to visit. A wonderful trip I will never forget. I had a great Mother's day myself. Makai and Beck both made me cards and gave me my favorite Bath and Body Works soap. Ike let me take the day off and gave me some cold hard cash to get whatever I want! I also missed blogging about Ike's birthday. He's pretty low-key, but we were able to have a fun date out to Texas Roadhouse without kids. I think he had a pretty good day all in all! We sure love you Pet!

Princess Mouse Ballerina

Oh how Makai loves ballet! She was so excited about her new mouse costume. She also has a swimsuit for her tap number Splish Splash I was Takin' a Bath. Her recital is coming up in a few weeks and she can't wait to preform. It so much fun to watch her. I love having a girl!
